Premium Quality ER70S-6 wire. E70s-6 contains a high combination of silicon and manganese deoxidizers, making it suitable for all varieties of carbon steel welding and recommended for welding sheet metal. This wire is suitable for many general purpose carbon steel welding applications. a premium quality, general purpose MIG wire subjected to stringent quality control procedures required for certification to Military, Lloyds, and ABS specifications.

Our 10 lbs. Spool of .023 Mild Steel Wire is used with 75% argon/25% CO2, or 100% CO2 shielding gas.

This is a 8" diameter spool with a center mounting hole that is standard 2" diameter.

Note that this is precision wound wire, verses random wound. Precision layer wound is like a spool of thread, each revolution is next to the other, which feeds better and provides a more consistent wire feed rate.

All of our Steel Wire meets AWS Specification E70S-6. This is the only wire recommended by all auto manufacturers for repairing today's HSLA steels. A high quality steel wire with a minimum tensile strength of 70,000 psi. Higher silica and manganese content means this wire will flow out better and weld through rust and paint easier.

Use .023 diameter for sheet metal to 3/16", .030 for 16 ga to 3/8" and .035 diameter for 14 ga to ½".
